If you are a speaker at the 26th Annual EAU Congress, you can make use of many services that will help you be fully prepared for your presentation.
Build your poster online, ask your questions at the Speaker Service Centre and get a professional training in public speaking skills – and your presentation will surely stand out!
Upload Your Presentation
Congress days are intensive for all of its participants – there are usually multiple appointments, sessions and events. If you are speaking at the congress we recommend that you upload your presentation before the meeting - and use your time at the congress for more immediate appointments.
The presentations can now be uploaded online though the EAU Faculty website, which has all the information you require to help you plan and execute your congress tasks! Once you have finished the upload, please make sure to complete the authorisation form for each of your presentations.
You can also upload your presentation during the congress at the Speaker Service Centre not later than three hours before the session.
The Speaker Service Centre
The Speaker Service Centre is an essential stop for those presenting at the congress. Here, the EAU staff will answer your questions regarding the scientific programme, scheduling and presentation . Here you can also get assistance in uploading your presentation, if necessary. The centre can be found in room S250 on the Yellow Level.
The Presentation Training Centre
Now that your presentation or poster is ready for the session, it is perhaps a good time to brush up your public speaking skills.
Take advantage of the opportunity to work with speaking consultant, Mr. Paul Casella (Iowa, USA) at this year’s EAU Congress to improve your presentation style and delivery skills. Mr. Casella performs the same kind of training for many years now during the EAU Congresses and his sessions have been a huge success! One-on-one, half hour sessions are free of charge and available to all speakers and congress delegates. Practise the talk you will give at the meeting, or work on your general speaking and teaching skills.
Sign-up at the Speaker Service Centre in Vienna or pre-register by sending an e-mail with your preferred date and time to the EAU Congress Department.
The Presentation Training Centre will be open on 18-21 March 2011 from 09.00 till 18.00.
During the last years, I have had the pleasure to chair a few sessions with several speakers involved. I have always tried to have a session with Mr. Casella and so far have all speakers improved in their performance after such a session.
