Welcome to Vienna

For the 26th Annual EAU Congress we return for the third time to Vienna, Austria, a magnificent city strategically placed in the heart of continental Europe. Home to a well-established urology tradition, which dates back to the middle of the 19th century, this magnificent city offers new inspiration for scientific exploration and knowledge-sharing.

To underscore and address today’s significant changes and challenges in our speciality, the scientific programme of the upcoming meeting will cover the most important advances of the recent years, whilst anticipating the trends of the future. During the congress, over 400 speakers will examine and present the latest scientific studies to delegates coming from 80 countries – it is a remarkable event which gathers under one roof the leading minds of international urology.

We expect that the 26th EAU Congress in Vienna will be attended by more than 14,000 delegates and exhibitors, highlighting the importance of this meeting as Europe’s largest and most comprehensive gathering in the field of urology.

Our social programme promises to be memorable – as we will convene in a city where art and culture have a long tradition. Vienna, the last great capital of the 19th century ball, is renowned not only for the Opera Ball, but also for its excellent events in theatre, opera, classical music and fine arts. From classic and baroque to modern, the city’s architecture is unique, also featuring numerous Art Nouveau examples. Convenient public transportation also brings visitors to major attractions such as the imperial palaces of Hofburg and Schönbrunn with its 18th century Tiergarten Schönbrunn park, home of the world's oldest zoo.

We look forward to welcoming you to the wonderful city of Vienna and Europe’s leading professional and scientific urological event!
